The four-year study of Materials Science and Engineering(MSE) in Nanjing Tech University, China encourages Tony to go further in this field. With the dream of developing new materials that can change people’s life, Tony decided to continue studying MSE in University of Florida(UF). He developed an interest in polymeric materials, particularly in biomedical applications. He realized that understanding the behaviors of materials is crucial to design a new appliance. After earning a master’s degree in MSE from UF in 2015, he joined Mefford Research Group pursuing a doctor’s degree in 2016. He is now studying synthesis and characterizations of star-copolymers with controlled LCST properties. He likes to travel and play soccer with friends on weekends.

Daniel graduated from Clemson University with his B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering, Polymer concentration in 2014. After graduating, he worked in industrial research and development for two years before returning to Clemson to continue his education. His work focuses on the characterization of polymeric materials and loading of volatile organic compounds into polymers to impart novel properties.
Clayton graduated from Clemson University in 2009 with a B.S. in chemical engineering. In 2009, he joined Poly-Med, Inc. where he began a career in bioresorable polymer engineering and was offered the opportunity to continue his education with graduate work in materials science and engineering. In 2016, he earned a Master’s degree from Clemson University in materials science and engineering for his work developing gas chromatography analytical methods. Clayton has spent the last several years specializing in process optimization and engineering support specific to the novel polymer development and manufacturing processes at Poly-Med, Inc.
